Overview: On this project, The Learning Camel was contacted to provide consultative services to scope out digital learning capabilities and a job description for a new function of the financial learning division. Coupled with TLC's strong background in workforce development and leader's expertise in building L&D departments from the ground up, this project was a fun one. To kickoff, TLC met with client to do a conceptual-job analysis based in the DACUM methodology to outline what the critical tasks and functions of this role and the broader unit would be. With that in hand and verified, then TLC created job statements that would be appropriate for the job description. Additionally, TLC wrote possible job interview questions crosswalked to the conceptual job analysis in addition to a draft job description. The client was impressed with the interview questions particularly and noted that they "help to point to the demonstration of experiences and skillsets that will be essential for this role." The final product gave Thrivent a strong foundation during the recruitment process and gave job candidates a clear perspective of what to expect in this new to the organization role.
